A study in Shiling county found that using two row Ribbon mulching for wheat cultivation can increase grain yield by 25.6% to 52.3% compared to open air wheat. This method resulted in a yield increase of 1012 to 1187kg per hectare, with a cost increase of about 300 RMB per hectare. By using 33 kg of plastic film, this mulching practice is a feasible way to boost crop production and alleviate poverty in mountainous areas.
