Boosting oat seed yield and nutrition with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers!
The study looked at how nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers affect the yield and β-glucan content of naked oat seeds. They tested a specific oat variety in Qinghai province and found that more nitrogen increased seed yield at first, then decreased, while more phosphorus consistently increased yield. β-glucan content also rose with more nitrogen or phosphorus. The best results were seen with 90 kg/ha of nitrogen and 90 kg/ha of phosphorus for seed yield, and 135 kg/ha of nitrogen and 90 kg/ha of phosphorus for β-glucan content.
