Optimal sowing date and seeding rate boost rice yield significantly.
The study looked at how different planting dates and amounts of seeds affect the yield of no-tillage and direct seeding rice. They found that the timing of planting and the number of seeds used had a big impact on how much rice was produced. The best yield was achieved with an optimal amount of seeds, and planting later led to lower yields. The number of spikelets per panicle, seed setting rate, and effective panicle number were also affected by when and how the rice was planted.
