The study evaluated the progress of ecological province construction in Heilongjiang using a set of evaluation indexes. The results showed that while there has been significant progress in general construction indexes, the province is still at a basic level. Heilongjiang has excelled in environmental protection and social development, but lags behind in economic development. There is also a noticeable imbalance in development among different regions within the province.
