A new way to store data in databases was created by combining relational databases with ontology. This new model allows for easier querying of data based on concepts. The researchers changed the relational database model into an ontology model and then mapped it to a simpler object model. By using a technology called ORM, they were able to map the object model back to the relational database. This new storage model allows for flexible changes and updates to the database structure.
