Alpine meadow evapotranspiration underestimated, impacting water resource management.
Researchers compared three methods for measuring evapotranspiration in an alpine meadow. They found that all three methods showed a strong correlation in their measurements. However, the Bowen ratio-energy balance method gave the highest values, while the eddy covariance method gave the lowest. This suggests that evapotranspiration may be underestimated using the eddy covariance method in this specific alpine meadow.
