An improved Apriori algorithm for mining association rules was developed and tested using UCI Machine Learning Data Sets. The algorithm showed better performance in terms of speed and mining capability compared to the classical algorithm. Additionally, the algorithm was applied to electronic patient record mining, showing promising results.
