The Sanchaxi Hydropower Station in Zhejiang Province was designed optimally, focusing on dam type, construction materials, slope design, crest structure, and foundation treatment. The spillway chutes were placed in the rockfill body, and the diversion tunnel used anchor injection support. The water supply system reduced pressure through gravity flow, and the station operated with a computer supervisory system. Since its operation in 1998, all structures and equipment have functioned well, leading to significant economic and social benefits. The project's design won the top prize in Zhejiang Province for construction projects.
