Gas drainage technology was used to address gas emission issues in a coal mine. A new method involving a false inclined rear high drainage roadway and a strike high level gas drainage roadway was successful in reducing gas emission problems and shortening the initial mining period. The gas drainage rate was significantly increased, resulting in a good gas drainage effect.
