The coal preparation process at Zhaogu No.1 mine was determined based on analyzing the properties of raw coal. The researchers found that the raw coal is easily broken, has high ash content, and can float easily. They established that the separation limit for slack coal is 1.5 mm, with options to adjust it. Lump coal is separated using a dense-medium shallow-slot separator, while slack coal is processed using a three-product HM cyclone, TBS, and flotation column. The design process considers coal analysis, product mix, facility characteristics, and specific needs to create an efficient and flexible coal preparation process.
