Optimized Culture Conditions Boost Laccase Production for Sustainable Biodegradation.
The researchers optimized the conditions for producing laccase from Trametes versicolor SYBC L3 using solid-state fermentation. They found that the best mixture of soybean meal and sawdust is 1:1, with maltose as the ideal carbon source and sodium nitrate as the optimal nitrogen source. The addition of copper sulfate at 0.02% enhanced laccase production. The fermentation setup included 40g of solid-state medium in 250mL flasks with 70% moisture content. The best pH for the enzyme extract was 6.5, and the ideal extraction time was 4 hours. After optimization, the laccase production from Trametes versicolor SYBC L3 using solid-state fermentation was successful.
