Rising Tidal River Levels to Impact Future Flood Prevention Strategies.
The study looked at water levels in a river in the Pearl River Delta and found that they are rising by 7 971mm per year. A new method was developed to predict future water levels, showing that they will increase by 0.24m to 0.40m by 2030 and 2050 compared to traditional methods. It is recommended to adjust flood prevention measures based on this rising trend.
