The study developed a method to determine the best number of water quality monitoring sites. By using an improved technique called TOPSIS, researchers created a model to find the optimal solution. The method effectively used information from the optimal matrix. A real-world example of environmental monitoring showed that the improved TOPSIS method can help optimize the number of monitoring sites.
