Revolutionary Water Treatment Process Removes Contaminants and Enhances Safety
The combined process of powdered activated carbon (PAC) and ultrafiltration (UF) membrane effectively removes contaminants from Yellow River water. UF membrane significantly reduces turbidity and algae, with bacteria and coliform not detected in the permeate. However, UF membrane has poor removal of dissolved organic matters, which is improved by adding PAC. The combined process increases removal rates of CODMn, TOC, and UV254, enhancing drinking water safety.
