Conservation tillage technology was tested in a cold and plateau area to grow wheat and oat. The experiment showed that this technology works well, increasing crop output, cutting costs, and benefiting the public. By planting seeds without tilling the soil and spreading fertilizer deeply, the technology can pass through crop residues on the soil surface. This system was successfully established for dry and cold regions. The experiment is important for boosting crop yields in dry areas and spreading conservation tillage technology on a larger scale.
