The study looked at how different farming methods and sprinkler irrigation affect soil moisture. Sprinkler irrigation can control soil moisture when avoiding rain with a shed. Plastic mulching helps retain moisture in the soil. Soil moisture varies with climate under sod cultivation. Sprinkler irrigation in orchards can save water, with 10 kg of water per square meter reaching 45 cm deep in the soil after 2-3 hours. It usually takes 2-4 hours of sprinkler irrigation and using 10-20 kg of water per square meter can lead to high and stable litchi yields.
