The study looked at how much organic carbon is in the topsoil of a hilly area. They found that the type of land use, like trees or farmland, affects how much organic carbon is in the soil. Areas with more trees had higher organic carbon levels, while areas with farmland had lower levels. The total amount of organic carbon in the topsoil of the area was about 76,810 tons.
