Climate model accurately predicts long-term weather changes in East Asia.
A study used a computer model to simulate long-term climate changes in East Asia. The model accurately predicted winter and summer weather patterns, including temperature and moisture levels. It also matched observed sea level pressure and precipitation rates, although it overestimated summer rainfall in North China. The model performed better at predicting winter climate changes than summer ones. It successfully captured variations in seasonal precipitation and air temperature, as well as anomalies related to El Niño events. Overall, the model showed promise for long-term regional climate simulations.
