S-deficiency stress reduces rice leaf photosynthesis, impacting crop productivity.
S-deficiency stress reduces photosynthesis in rice leaves. The study used water culture to investigate this. Results showed that under S-deficiency, key photosynthesis indicators like net photosynthetic rate and electron transport rate decreased significantly. The leaf's ability to photosynthesize was also reduced. The decrease in Fo was caused by an increase in non-photochemical quenching coefficient. This adaptation mechanism helps rice cope with S-deficiency.
