Researchers studied how wild flat bromegrass reproduces in Yunnan Province. They found that the seed yield, germination rate, and overall reproduction efficiency are higher with asexual reproduction than sexual reproduction. Asexual reproduction has a higher survival rate and faster growth speed compared to sexual reproduction. The growth speed of flat bromegrass by sexual reproduction is slow at first but increases later on. Asexual reproduction leads to quicker growth initially but slows down as the plant grows.
