The Silurian rocks in the northern and central Tarim Basin were studied using different data to understand their sequence and sedimentary facies. Three main sequences were identified, each with specific types of sedimentary environments. These include fan delta, barrier tidal-flat, and neritic environments. The study helps us understand how these rocks were deposited and how the environment changed over time.
