New algorithm calculates viscosity of mixed refrigerants, boosting energy efficiency in cooling systems.
A new method using the Lattice-Boltzmann approach was used to calculate the viscosity of mixed refrigerants R410A and R407C. By comparing them with pure refrigerants R32 and R125, the researchers found that the viscosity of R410A deviated by an average of 5.2% and a maximum of 7.0%, while R407C deviated by an average of 5.5% and a maximum of 8.0%. This method proved effective in accurately calculating the viscosity of mixed refrigerants.
