Construction waste leachate can be safely discharged after proper treatment.
The study looked at how construction waste leachate changes over time and its impact on the environment. They monitored various parameters like pH, TOC, COD, and metals for 440 days in a lab setting. Results showed that after three years in a landfill, most parameters in the leachate met water quality standards. This means that with proper site selection, the initial leachate can be treated and safely discharged.
