Coal slurry is important in the Texaco coal gasification process. Studying the characteristics of coal and coal slurry helps in choosing the right gasification process and running the Texaco plant smoothly. Coal with low ash content and a low ash melting point makes the Texaco gasifier more stable and efficient. Coal with less water content is easier to turn into coal slurry with higher concentration. High-quality coal slurry should have high concentration, low viscosity, good floating ability, and stability for storage, transportation, and gasification.
