New Soil Stabilizer Boosts Water Absorption and Reduces Evaporation Rates
The researchers studied how adding EN-1 Ionic Stabilizer affects the moisture characteristics of loess soil. They found that EN-1 slightly reduced soil water holding capacity but did not significantly impact effective water. Adding EN-1 increased soil hydraulic conductivity, with the highest conductivity seen at 0.05%-0.10% stabilizer content. Soil saturated hydraulic conductivity decreased with higher soil bulk density. Evaporation rate initially decreased with EN-1, then slowed down. Different stabilizer amounts did not significantly affect cumulative evaporation.
