Plant diversity thrives in untouched areas, suffers in lightly disturbed zones.
The study looked at how different levels of disturbance affect plant growth and diversity in a fenced area. By observing plant growth in three plots with varying disturbance levels, researchers found that areas with light disturbance had high plant values but low species diversity. In contrast, highly disturbed areas had low plant values but high species diversity. Areas with no disturbance had moderate plant values and high species diversity, but diversity decreased over time.
