Truck front axle load directly linked to road conditions, impacting safety.
The researchers studied how the vertical load on a truck's front axle changes with speed and road conditions. They found that the maximum vertical load on the front axle is mainly influenced by the weight on the axle, and it increases in a linear way with the axle weight. The maximum load is not more than 1.4 times the static weight of the axle with a 90% probability.
