Fenton Process Revolutionizes Wastewater Treatment for RDX Recovery Efforts
The researchers used Fenton and photo-Fenton processes to clean wastewater from RDX recovery. They found that adding 700 mg/L of FeSO4 and keeping the pH at 2.5 worked best. More H2O2 improved COD removal, but higher temperatures made it less effective. With 100 mg/L of H2O2 and 15 ℃, they achieved 82.07% COD removal. In the photo-Fenton process, they only needed 50 mg/L of FeSO4.
