New Study Reveals Key Factors Impacting Growth of Medicinal Plants
The study looked at three types of Polygonatum plants in Anhui Province to understand how they photosynthesize. The researchers found that the plants' photosynthesis changed throughout the day, with the highest rate in the daytime. Factors like sunlight, water loss, and CO2 levels affected their growth. One of the plants, P.cyrtonema, doesn't care about day length, while the others, P.filipes and P.sibiricum, prefer lots of sunlight.
