Researchers discussed using advanced gasification technology to efficiently process high-ash, high-sulfur, and high-fusion-temperature coal types known as tri-high coal, commonly found in China. They found that pulverized coal entrained-flow gasification could effectively convert this type of coal into useful products. By analyzing the characteristics of tri-high coal and comparing gasification technologies from around the world, the study suggested that this method is suitable for maximizing the utilization of these challenging coal resources.
