New Encoding Scheme Boosts XML Query Performance Dramatically!
Storing and searching for information in XML documents is a big deal in databases. A new way of storing XML documents called path-partitioned encoding was created to help with this. It makes it easier to find specific parts of the document when searching. A special method was also made to quickly search for specific parts of the document without using certain symbols. Tests showed that this method can make searches faster by getting rid of unnecessary information and focusing on what's important.
