Soil moisture and salt content vary across fields, making it hard to study how water and salt move in soil. In a study of Tamari ramosissima Ldb. fields, soil samples were taken and analyzed. Results showed that soil moisture content follows a lognormal distribution, while salt content is mostly normal. Both are moderately variable and related within a certain distance. By using the CoKriging method, estimated variance can be reduced by 121.48% compared to ordinary Kriging.
