Land productivity varies significantly across regions in the Loess Plateau.
Soil erosion is a big problem, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can help study land productivity. By using GIS, researchers looked at three different areas in the Loess Plateau to see how productive the land was. They found that land productivity varies in different regions: the sand region had the highest productivity, followed by the first and second sub-regions of the Loess Hilly region. This shows that the model they used can be useful in these areas and similar regions with the same conditions.
