Polluted Lake Threatens Drinking Water for Millions in China
The researchers evaluated the water quality in Shahu Lake and found that it became more polluted over time, changing from slightly polluted to moderately polluted. Phosphorus and organic pollutants were the main culprits. Both internal and external sources of pollution, like water from the Yellow River and runoff, contributed to the problem. To address this, the researchers suggested some ways to control the pollution in Shahu Lake.
