A new method using fuzzy mathematics has been developed to identify the type of rocks in volcanic formations more accurately. By analyzing 8 different logging parameters, researchers were able to classify 10 types of volcanic rocks with 85% consistency compared to core analysis results. This approach shows promise for improving the accuracy of identifying volcanic rock types and can be useful in geological studies.
