Turning Cotton Waste into Renewable Fuel: A Breakthrough in Sustainable Energy
Researchers used microwave radiation to break down cotton straw into sugar. They found that the best conditions for this process were a temperature of 80 ℃, a time of 50 minutes, a ratio of 1 part straw to 16 parts liquid, and a sulfuric acid concentration of 3.0%. By following these conditions, they were able to achieve a sugar yield ratio of 3.17%.
