Satellite data reveals climate impact on grasslands in Northern Xinjiang
The study analyzed satellite data and climate information to understand how different types of grasslands in Northern Xinjiang change over time. They found that one type of vegetation index, EVI, is better at showing changes in plant growth than another index, NDVI. Grasslands with more plants are more affected by temperature and rainfall, while those with fewer plants are less influenced by these factors. Overall, the study showed that the health of grasslands can be seen through changes in vegetation indices, with some types of grasslands being more sensitive to environmental conditions than others.
