The study looked at how urbanization in counties in Hunan Province is related to economic development. They used data from 2001 to 2010 and analyzed it using statistical methods and mapping tools. The findings show that county urbanization in Hunan has been changing over the years, with some areas becoming more urbanized than others. They also found that areas with higher economic development tend to have more urbanization. This suggests that economic development influences urbanization in central China. The study suggests strategies to promote urbanization in economically less developed areas.
