CGE models are useful for studying environmental policies' social costs accurately. The paper discusses the different types of CGE models and their application fields, particularly in China. It emphasizes that CGE models should reflect the real economy being studied. Future research should focus on assessing social benefits and costs of environmental policies, understanding how these policies impact different groups, and using regional CGE models more in policy analysis.
