Optimal Planting Pattern Boosts Corn Yield in Huanghuaihai Area by 8.58%
The study looked at how different planting densities and row spacing affect the yield of a type of summer corn called Xianyu 335. They tested two densities (60,000 and 75,000 plants per hectare) and five row spacing patterns. The results showed that the yield of corn was highest when planted at 60,000 plants per hectare with a row spacing pattern of 80 + 40 cm. This combination resulted in a yield of 11,068 kg per hectare, which was significantly higher than other spacing patterns tested. The researchers found that this specific planting pattern was the best for growing Xianyu 335 corn in the Huanghuaihai area.
