The study found that by analyzing the mineral compositions of different types of clay, researchers were able to develop a method for measuring clay plasticity. This method, based on colloid theory, accurately predicts the plasticity of mud when different types of clay are mixed together. The results showed that using the plasticity indexⅡ effectively reflects how different types of clay affect mud plasticity.
