Optimizing Fertilizer Levels Boosts Maize Yield and Agronomic Traits Significantly.
The study looked at how different ways of planting maize and using fertilizer affect the growth and yield of a specific maize variety. They found that using a fertilizer ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus at 1:1, along with low fertilization, worked well for this maize variety. High fertilization levels led to the best grain yield and weight of 1000 grains. Overall, using a 1:1 ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus resulted in higher grain yield and weight compared to a 2:1 ratio.
