New soil hydrodynamic parameters could revolutionize agriculture and water conservation.
Soil hydrodynamic parameters in cinnamon soil were derived and verified using RETC software. The goal was to understand how water moves through the soil for better agriculture and engineering practices. By analyzing soil composition and density, equations for water retention and hydraulic conductivity were determined. Field measurements confirmed the accuracy of the results, showing a low error rate in water retention and hydraulic conductivity. The study found that as soil water potential decreases, the accuracy of the parameters also improves. RETC software is a reliable tool for deriving soil hydrodynamic parameters.
