Big and medium follicles key to successful goat oocyte maturation.
The size of follicles and the presence of granulosa cells affect the maturation and fertilization of goat oocytes in a lab setting. Larger and medium-sized follicles have higher maturation and cleavage rates compared to smaller ones. Oocytes surrounded by cumulus cells perform better than those without them. High concentrations of granulosa cells can inhibit oocyte maturation.
