A study looked at how to clean up thick, oily wastewater using a method called wet air oxidation. They found that the best temperature for this process is 220 ℃, and it can remove a lot of the pollutants in just 2 hours. Having enough oxygen is important for the process to work well. The pH of the water doesn't really matter. Wet air oxidation is effective for treating this type of wastewater.
