The article discusses the current state of coastal zone management in Shanghai, focusing on laws, regulations, coordination, ecological protection, disaster prevention, and technology support. Compared to the EU's coastal management, Shanghai is still in the early stages. The challenges faced by Shanghai's coastal management are identified, leading to three suggestions for improvement: finding a better management pattern, conducting research on coastal systems, and optimizing economic and ecological planning.
