The main goal of the article is to find ways to help farmers increase their income in a lasting way. The researchers suggest that simply relying on policies and market conditions may not be enough. They propose that to achieve lasting income growth, we need to look within agriculture for ways to make it stronger and more independent, as well as outside of agriculture to create a supportive environment for income growth.
