It found that the water quality in different river sections varies: Jingyan Reach has poor water quality due to permanganate and ammonia nitrogen, while Wutongqiao Reach shows similar issues plus total phosphorus. The overall river is affected by eutrophication. The study identifies agricultural and household sources as the main polluters. The researchers suggest a pollution control plan to tackle these issues.
