The study looked at how acid rain affects soil acidity in litchi orchards. Acid rain with pH 4.5 makes the soil more acidic, while pH 5.5 or higher helps buffer against acidity. Using different acidity measures, acid rain with pH 2.5 increases soil acidity, but pH 3.5 or higher reduces acidity after leaching.
