Ozonation process slashes oil field wastewater pollution by 69%!
The researchers studied how to clean up wastewater from oil fields using ozone. They found that the amount of pollution in the water, the acidity level, and the amount of ozone used all affect how well the ozone can clean the water. When the water had a lot of pollution, low acidity, and a high amount of ozone, the cleaning efficiency was the best. But for water with less pollution, the cleaning efficiency was lower.
